Henry David Thoreau went to the woods to confront what was real and to leave superficiality behind. Today man is not even aware of the superficiality of his tragic life, nor the fact that he is about to be consumed my the monster of narcissism.

I find it interesting that Sigmund Freud wrote that all human beings were born w/ some form of narcissism. What an original thought he had. As if the Scripture hadn't addressed that issue. I read a while back that a leading University did a study and found that many people using the facebook & myspace pages suffered from narcissism. Duh, not to mention reality tv.
